Catheryn Ann Christiansen Edwards Simmons, 72, of Centerfield, UT, passed away on August 2, 2021 in St. George, from complications due to COVID-19. She was outgoing, compassionate, loving, strong, and service oriented. She was a bright light to all those who knew her. She was born and raised in Monroe on September 6, 1948 to Forrest and Shirley Raisor Christiansen, with her 6 siblings. She married Randy Edwards in the Manti LDS Temple on December  16, 1967. They shared nearly 30 years together. They were the parents of four flawless daughters who are perfect in every way!! Just ask them. She was widowed in 1996. She married John P. Simmons on August 18, 2000. Together they shared 10 children. They were able to spend 21 years together.

She exemplified the light of Christ in how she embraced people. She was fiercely loving and always fought for the underdog. She loved entertaining and when you were in her home you were family. She served in many callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved her service work as a foster parent where she was able to serve over 40 children in need. She welcomed five foreign exchange students into her home. She put herself through beauty school and had a long career as a beautician. She enjoyed serving her community in many capacities. Her charity work knew no bounds.

She is survived by her husband John Simmons; children: Tiffani Milner, Murranda (Rick) Black, Adrienne (Joe) Urvina, Tanae (Craig) Childs, Sariah (Kiko) Arvizu, Tiffany Simmons, Lucas (Maggie) Simmons, Hollie (Larry) Hewitt, Kelcie Simmons, Mackenah (John) Roberts; grandchildren: Jordan (Bryndee), Makayla, Madilynn, Gavin, Annika, Lola, Keaton, Boston, Kingston, Sarai, Enoch, Tennyson, Larry, Unity, Knox, Elijah, JD, Kyla, Aspen, Daisy, Aiden. The greats: Tayson and Aybree; siblings: Connie (Than) Henrie, Colleen Robinson, and Randy (Ella) Christiansen.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Randy Edwards; parents, Forrest and Shirley; son-in-law, John Milner; granddaughters:  Audrey Grace, Hailee; siblings: Carolyn, Ray, and Cheryl.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 12:00 Noon in the Centerfield 2nd Ward Chapel.
