Carroll J. Young, 77, of Monroe, Utah, passed away March 19, 2017 in Provo, Utah. He was born July 24, 1939, in Alma, Arkansas, to Clifford Jefferson and Mattie Marie Rye Young.
He married Madge I. Lancaster, August 6, 1981 in Bakersfield, CA.
Carroll belonged to the Nazarene Church. He was a family oriented man who loved his family very much. Carroll had a lot of friends in the California Sheriffs Department where he worked for 28 years as a Senior Deputy. He loved to fish, ride his side by side and loved to garden. He was a very private man and enjoyed being with his wife of 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Madge of Monroe; Children: Greg Young, Tammra Leicht, Michael Noland, Deborah Greer, Andrea Young. Nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry Young.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel.
