Carol Loraine Madsen Howes Royall, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away at her home in Holladay, on August 16, 2017. She was born in Monroe, Utah on February 6, 1931 to Fred Madsen and Grace Park. She married Van L. Howes and had 3 children. Later divorced.
Carol worked as a medical assistant, beautician, phlebotomist, security officer at the airport and she owned her own insurance agency: Alta Insurance. She was a care giver to many. Above all, she enjoyed her family, grandchildren and all her dogs. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her children: Tony (Gwen) Howes, Linda (Art) Montano, and daughter-in-law, Christy Howes. She has 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Howes.
