Carol Hatch

Richfield, Utah

Carol June Hatch, 77, passed away January, 19, 2014 at her son’s home in West Jordan while being comforted by family members. She was born July 24, 1936 in Salina, a daughter of Lloyd D and June Borg Lipsey. Carol graduated from Richfield High School, class of 1954 and was a member of the LDS Church.

Carol married J. Gordon Hatch on June 2, 1959 and they have shared their life together in Richfield. Working together, they built their own home and moved into it in 1965.

Her work career included two years with the Sevier County agent, six years in the county clerk’s office, and 30 years with Utah Power and Light Company. Anyone whoever worked with Carol soon recognized her unquestionable honesty and ability to work well with others.

Carol loved seeing the United States and had visited 46 of the contiguous states as well as Canada and Mexico, after her retirement.

Carol always maintained a beautiful home and took pride in her personal appearance.

We will all miss her pleasant smile and the love she had for all of us.

She is survived by her husband; son: Landon D. Hatch, West Jordan; grandsons: Jeremy G. Hatch, Salt Lake City; A. James (Jessi) Hatch, Bracey, VA; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Meacham, Lake Havasu City, AZ; stepsons: H. Steven (Carolyn) Hatch, and Kevin D. (Susan) Hatch, both of Hanksville.

Preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Jerry Meacham.
