Carol Gulbransen

Central Valley, Utah

Myrna Carol Larsen Gulbransen, 86 of Central Valley. Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away peacefully in her home on September 6, 2020. She was born in Richfield on October 18, 1933 to Enoch Rolf and Mable Malinda Christiansen Larsen. She married Oscar Ray Gulbransen on June 11, 1953 in Richfield, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized on July 22, 1954 in the Manti Temple. She lost her husband on May 16, 1970. She spent some of her time in Kaysville getting her Masters Degree in Education at BYU. Carol and Oscar then got the chance to move back to the Sevier Valley where she has stayed ever since. She also completed two missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The first was to Independance, Missouri and the second to Oklahoma, Oklahoma City. She was also known for being a master quilter. Everyone from her work at the Manti Temple, to Marcia’s and quilt shows around the state knew of the beauty she could create. Her hard work and dedication to those quilts was a mirrored image of the way she lived her life. She will be so missed by everyone who she had the chance to encounter.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters: Miriam Larsen (Rulon Olcott), Harold E. Larsen (Gene Hyatt), Genevive Larsen (L. Benny Dennison), LaMont Larsen, Don Rolf Larsen, Reed Larsen (Irva Leora Wamock), Ruth Larsen (Dan O. Payne), Roland Wayne Larsen; grandson, Kendrick Mac Gulbransen; and great-granddaughter, Paisley Ann Anderson. She is survived by her children: Valorie Gulbransen Farmer (James Farmer) of Logan; and Von Gulbransen (Meghan Heaps Gulbransen) of Springville; brother, David Larsen. She has 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. All of whom loved her very dearly.
