Carol Ann Young Christensen, 76, of Salina, UT passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Stonehenge of Richfield. She was born on May 30, 1939 to Eugene D. and Naomi Reiser Young in Westwood, CA.
She was an excellent cook and was well known for her fudge and brownies. She was the head cook at the Salina Turkey Plant, The Branding Iron / Cedar Creek and Mom’s Café.
She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in the Primary, Young Women’s and Relief Society organizations. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, winning at cards and most of all cooking. She deeply loved her family and considered her 9 grandchildren and great-grandson to be her greatest joy. She is currently enjoying her 2 nd great-grandson before he joins his earthly family. She was a kind and generous person who always had a friendly smile and rarely complained. Her heart was filled with love for everyone she met. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Carol is survived by her children: Rodney Christensen, Lori (Brian) Dumas, Diana Conejo and Emily Burt, all of Salina; Susan (Lindon) Brown, Redmond. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Chandler, Camille, Tristan (Krystle) Dumas, Jaleesa (Drayson) Ball, Tania Conejo, Shawn Brown, TaraLynn, Amanda, Abbigail Burt and great-grandson, Bradley Dumas; siblings, Nancy (Theron) Berry, of Apple Valley, California. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Douglas Christensen; siblings: Karma (John) Hunt, John Young, Mary Young and Lora Kathryn Young.
Private family graveside services were held Saturday, May 21, 2016 in the Redmond Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
