Carma Payne Hansen, 75, passed away June 26, 2014 in Provo, surrounded by her family. Born August 8, 1938 to J. Elgie and Ruth Harmon Payne in Richfield, where she grew up and spent most of her life. She married Marvin D. Hansen, November 4, 1955, in Richfield and the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Carma was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in callings in the Relief Society, Primary, and MIA. She was an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and served in local and district capacities. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed LDS Church history.

Carma is survived by her husband, and her children: David W. (Ruth) Hansen, Riverton; Carma ReNae (Jim) Breedon, Albuquerque, NM; and Douglas M. (Patricia) Hansen, Cedar City; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brothers: Dr. Ronald (Mary) Payne, Allan (Jeannette) Payne, Roger (Camille) Payne; sister, Evelyn Payne.

Preceded in death by her parents; step-mother: Fern Jorgensen Payne; brother, Calvin (Pearl) Payne.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Central Valley 1 st Ward, 65 North Main. Friends may call Sunday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Magleby Mortuary, 50 South 100 West in Richfield and Monday at the ward chapel in Central Valley from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Elsinore Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
