Carma Wintch Barney, 84, of Manti, passed away on May 13, 2017 in Provo, UT. Carma was born on June 27, 1932 in Manti, UT to Fredrick William and Emma Louise Ventris Wintch.
Carma married Joseph S Barney on October 18, 1952 in Manti, their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple in April 1954. He preceded her in death on November 11, 2016.
Carma loved working with plants, crocheting and especially loved her jig saw puzzles. She served a 18 month service mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 2003-2005 and was an ordinance worker in the Manti Temple from 1993-1996.
Carma is survived by her children: Susan (Michael) Speight, Sterling, CO; Millard (Lisa) Barney, Puyallup, WA; Steve (Ellie) Barney, Spokane, WA; Wayne (Cyndy) Barney, Blaine, WA; Del (Yvonne) Barney, Heber City, UT. She is also survived by her siblings: Thomas K Wintch; Dan K (Patsy) Wintch; Louise (Niel) Christensen; James Wayne (Rose) Wintch, sister-in-law, Sheri Wintch 14 Grandchildren and 10 Great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Brian Barney; sister, Wanda Duncan and brother, Fred Wintch, In-laws; Darrell Duncan and Enid Wintch,
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Manti 9th Ward (Red Church). Friend may call prior to services at the church from 11:30-12:30.
