Leann Lemke
Elsinore, Utah
On Monday August 30, 2021, our loving mother and grandmother, Carla Leann Julander Lemke passed away at the age of 78 in Tooele. Leann was born to C. Jay and Barbara Julander on March 2, 1943 in Richfield, Utah.
Leann and her brother Brent spent their childhood adventuring in Central Utah, as their father worked for Rio Grande Railroad as an engineer. She enjoyed sharing stories from her childhood and life experiences.
Leann was an avid crafter. She spent countless hours making blankets, wreaths, and so much more. She made a blanket for every baby, child, and adult in her life and some for others she had never met. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She was known by many for delicious cheesecakes and zucchini bread. She showed her love through her homemade crafts and food.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and a daughter of the Utah Pioneers. Through these Leann met many friends who became family to her.
She was always planning gifts for the next graduation, wedding, or birth of a baby in Elsinore. She shared her love of baking by giving personalized cookbooks and specialized baking supplies as wedding gifts to newly married couples. Hopefully her cheesecakes live on forever!
Leann also dedicated her time to the Relief Society, where she put love into supporting the families in her area.
Leann is survived by her children: Shari (Bill) Nielsen, Larry (Lori) Lemke, Tara (Noah) Compton; brother, Brent (Lindalee) Julander; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; along with many loved aunts and uncles.
