Byron Dee Stratton, age 84, died February 5, 2014 in Beaver. He was born February 3, 1930 in Hurricane, to Arthur and Pearl Stratton. Byron married Reva Carlisle, January 30, 1954 in Pioche, Nevada. The loving couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary before Reva passed in 2004.
A member of the Armed Forces, Byron was a successful businessman employed for over 35 years with Commercial Credit in Salt Lake City, Utah. After retiring, the couple moved to Salina. Byron enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and sportsman. He loved camping with his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He would never pass up a game of horseshoes.
Survivors include children: David (Sharron) Stratton, Central; Angela (Lynn) Anderson, Beaver; 8 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Alden Stratton, Hurricane; sister, Muriel Church.
He is also proceeded in death by his parents; daughter, Cheryl; and siblings Darwin and Glenna.
Services will be held Monday, February 10, 2014 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, 50 South 100 West, Richfield.
