Donald Bret Kouns, 50, quietly passed away at his home in Koosharem of natural causes on June 10, 2015. He was born January 17, 1965 in Salt Lake City.
Bret was raised in Koosharem. He worked at Sorenson’s Ranch School and was a farmer for many years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding around in the mountains. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.
He married Dawn Bruce, they later divorced
He married Tonia Hampton, they later divorced.
He is survived by his step-father, Clifford Blaine Hatch of Koosharem, who raised him from age 1; brothers and sister: Jeffery (Becky) Kouns, Mona; Pamela (Monte) Peterson, Monroe; Clark Hatch, Koosharem; 18 nieces and nephews; 31 great-nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Vespa Torgerson Hatch; and father, Donald Kouns; sister, Patricia Kouns.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Koosharem LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Koosharem Cemetery.
