Brent Wayne Peterson, 40, returned to his loving Heavenly Father on March 3, 2014 at his home in Manti, and was reunited with his earthly parents. He was born August 6, 1973, to Kay and JoAnn Chapman Peterson, the fifth of six children.

Brent was raised in Manti, and living in a small town provided him many opportunities to push the limits of his adventurous spirit. Brent and his friends were always finding something exciting to do, that often had an element of danger. Motorcycle riding, flying airplanes and even skydiving were some of his passions as he got older. He loved being in the mountains with his family, especially in Manti Canyon.

After graduating from Manti High School, Brent was called to serve an LDS mission in Denmark, the same mission where his father had served years before. He loved serving the Danish people and learning about their culture. Brent was an exceptional student, and after graduating from Snow College, he attended the University of Utah, where he earned a doctorate degree in pharmacy. He then returned to his roots, and served the community as a pharmacist at Sanpete Valley Hospital. He later started Pleasant Creek Family Pharmacy, in Mt. Pleasant, and quickly earned the respect of his customers as someone who provided friendly small town service, with a smile.

Brent had a cheerful personality and made friends wherever he went. He loved his boys and was always anxious to spend time with them, as he shared with them some of the same adventures he enjoyed as a boy.

Brent is survived by his three sons: Dilan, Kyler, and Brennan, and their mother, Rachelle, Manti; the love of his life, Jina Mikkelsen and her children: Brandie (Chandler) Johansen, and grandchildren, Hayden and Carter, Moroni; Lyssa (Matt) Draper and grandchildren, Paityn and Shyanne, Mt. Pleasanth; Joey and Chet Swain, Moroni; and Abbi Mikkelsen, Manti. Siblings: Roger (Alison), Stansbury Park; Robyn P. (Keith) Neumann Aurora, Colorado; Colette P. (Rick) Verbridge, Nome, Alaska; James (Cathy), Hyrum; Robert (Amy), Tooele; and many nieces and nephews.

Brent will be greatly missed by his family, his many friends and co-workers.
