Brenda Griffin, age 50, of Escalante and St. George, passed away May 2, 2016 at the Dixie Medical Center in St. George UT. She was born August 24, 1965 in Elko, NV to Alburn DeLane and Leah Porter Griffin. She attended school in Cedar City, Bryce Valley and Escalante High School where she graduated with a special certificate. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Brenda moved to St. George Care and Rehabilitation Center on January 11, 2002 where she could be close to her sister Anne and niece Cindra who helped care for her. This became her home for 14 years. She always had a big smile on her face and her eyes would light up when her dad came for a visit. She loved it when any of her family or friends would stop by. Each one got a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
Brenda loved her family, music, dancing, movies and always had a dollar in her hand for a can of Pepsi (with a straw).
She is survived by her dad, DeLane; siblings: Ann (Frank) Alleman, Marlene (Stanley) Stowe, Quinn (Doneen) Griffin, Joy Griffin, Marilee Miller; many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Brenda was preceded in death by her mom, Leah; brother, Robert LeLand (Bobby Lee), brother-in-law, Chris Munson; and brother-in-law, Val Haws.
We love you always and forever. You showed our family what "Love" is. You were a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend and will be forever missed.

Funeral services will be Monday, May 9, 2016 at 12:00 Noon in the Escalante Stake Center where friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Escalante Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
