Bonnie Lee Crane Nielson, 87, returned to her Heavenly Father and the arms of her true love on May 6, 2016 in Richfield, Utah. She was born on December 31, 1928, on her mother’s 18 th birthday, to Lovell and Maudell Arnold Crane in Salina. She graduated from Milford High School in 1946.
Bonnie married her true love, Morris Kimball Nielson, December 15, 1947 in Monroe. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti Utah Temple on December 5, 1959. He proceeded her in death December 24, 2005.
Bonnie loved her family and regarded them as her greatest treasure. She never met a stranger that soon didn’t become her best friend. Her heart was filled with love for everyone she met. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous church callings. She loved reading, cross-stitch, playing cards, going for walks and rides, and visiting.
Bonnie lived in Salina, Provo, Milford, San Diego, Helper, Price, Heber City, Salt Lake City, Roy, Longmont CO, Cheyenne and Laramie WY, and Monroe.
Bonnie is survived by her children: Kim (Roxanna) Nielson, Laramie, WY; Ken (Sheila) Nielson, Lehi, UT; Ann (Glenn) Roberson, Laramie, WY; daughter-in-law, Mary Adams, Monroe; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; siblings: Robert (Jane) Crane, Cedar City; Ilene (Steve) Grundy, Monroe; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Morris Nielson; sons: Kirk and Kerry Nielson; son-in-law, Mark Harris; grandsons: Ren and Tucker Nielson; and parents, Lovell and Maudell Crane.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Monroe 3 rd Ward Chapel, 140 S Main. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the ward chapel in Monroe. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
