Blaine George Olcott, age 66, passed away peacefully at his home in Ephraim, UT on September 9, 2017, with his wife, Sandi at his side. Blaine was born February 14, 1951 to George Rulon and Miriam Larsen Olcott in Richfield, Utah. Blaine was a handsome tow-headed child and loved growing up in Richfield. He loved riding his bicycle, hiking, and the beauty of nature that surrounded Richfield. He played piano beautifully.

He married Denise McDougal, in the Manti LDS Temple November 23, 1972. They divorced in 1978. He married Sandra Lynn Pirl, December 8, 2007 in the Manti LDS Temple and they resided in Ephraim, Utah. They met as ordinance workers in the Manti Temple.

Blaine graduated from Richfield High School and attended BYU in Provo, Utah. He served an LDS Mission to Florida from 1970 to 1972. Blaine served as an ordinance worker in the Manti Utah Temple for over ten years on the Thursday and Friday afternoon shifts. He also attended as a patron every Tuesday.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; children: Stacy, Scott (Kayla), Melissa (Edwin) and Helena (Paul): grandchildren: Shannon, Rachel, Bianca, Carmel, Franklin, Taylor, Raistlin, and Dante; and brother, Ronald (Betty); and sister, Gayle; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Blaine was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Lynn, Douglas, and Neal; sisters: Doris and Beth.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 18, at 11:00 a.m. in the Ephraim 5th Ward Chapel, 765 South 100 East, Ephraim UT. A viewing will be held prior to services from 9:00-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Manti City Cemetery.

The care provided by the Intermountain Hospice team: Charlie Brown, Kristofer Lundeberg, Tricia Kirkland, Dr. Gary Cole, and on call nurses was exemplary. Special love goes to Eva Martin who attended at death. Dr. Jeffrey Brown and his angel staff and Dr. Blake Zobell provided loving medical care for the last several years and Molly Brotherson kept the inevitable at bay with her knowledgeable care.
