Billy Val Lott, 74, of Gunnison, passed away on May 1, 2014. He was born on June 16, 1939 in Centerfield to Cleveland "Cleve" Elmer and Drusilla Grace Higham Lott.
Billy was a loving father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. He loved the outdoors and spent several years as a camp host at Twin Lakes and 12 Mile Flat. He enjoyed his associations with everyone he met, never meeting a stranger. Billy was Gunnison High Schools number 1 fan.
He is survived by his children; Debbie (Gene) Vought, Kearns and Mike (Kristi) Lott, Marysvale; siblings, Carol (Parley) Roundy, Marysvale; Alberta (Cullen) Goodwin, Murray; Glenna (Jerry) Coates, West Valley; Ronnie (Debbie) Lott, Payson. He is also survived by his devoted step children; Randy, Rod, Roanne and Rick, 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and his harem of women. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Carma and Julia Lott.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Cheryl, Dr Steven Embley and the staff at Gunnison Valley Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Centerfield Chapel. Friends may call at the church on Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and prior to services on Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Gunnison City Cemetery.
