Billy D Gray, 96, passed away January 11, 2016 in Richfield, Utah. He was born August 1, 1919 in Elsinore to Wallace Parker and Ayah Dausel Gray. He married Mary Irene Parker November 7, 1947 in Salt Lake City. The marriage was solemnized February 17, 1976 in the Manti Temple.
Bill served in WWII for five years. He was a master farmer with his brother Bob and they were named "Young Farmers of the Year" when they first started farming. He was a member of the LDS Church, serving in several capacities. Bill was a talented wood-worker, pastry baker and cook. His pies and pastries were the best. After retiring from farming he and Irene traveled extensively throughout the US and Canada in their motor home. He was a man of few words and loved his family above all.
Survived by his wife; children: Gregory J (Lori) Hunt, Pittsford, NY; Marianne (Dan) Hunter, Huntington; Barbara Lou (Darvin) White, Richfield; 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marjorie Gray, Central Valley.
Preceded in death by parents; son, Richard Wallace & Dorothy Gray; siblings: Maxine (Raymond) Nielson, Sam Robert "Bob" Gray, and Betty (Donald) Hansen.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 12:00 Noon in the Central Valley 1 st Ward, 65 North Main, where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery with military rites by the V.F.W. Sevier Post #5050. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
