William "Bill" Alford Bredsguard, 73, of Monroe, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and neighbor, passed away peacefully at his home on September 18, 2018. He was born in Richfield, Utah June 2, 1945 to Waldo William and Eula Coleman Bredsguard. He married Patsy Darlene LeFaivre on August 18, 1965 in McGill, NV. She preceded him in death, August 3, 2007.
Bill was considered an expert mechanic, and could fix anything. He was employed by the Sevier School District as a bus mechanic for over 30 years. He was a loving and caring person who always looked out for the less fortunate. He had a passion for his antique International pickups and Farmall tractors. He had a big heart and great love for his family, friends and all those he associated with. He had a great love for cats and would take any stray that needed a home. Bill also loved the old narrow gauge steam locomotives, and enjoyed the opportunities to experience the rides he had over the years.
Bill is survived by his children; Janet (Robert) Kesler, Richfield; John Bredsguard and Angie (Alejandro) Martinez, both Monroe, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother Philip (Marlene) Bredsguard; sister, Joyce Branch. Bill was also preceded in death by a son, James William Bredsguard; his parents, and brother Wayne Wilford Bredsguard.
Graveside services will be held Friday, September 21, 2018 at 12:00 Noon in the Monroe City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield, from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
