Betty Lou Hansen

Richfield, Utah

Betty Lou Christensen Hansen, 89, passed away at home with her loving husband of 68 years by her side on April 8, 2020. Our kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother was born on July 3, 1930 in her grandmother’s house in Richfield, to Ervin and Lavee Anderson Christensen. She married her sweetheart Ronald E Hansen in Las Vegas on June 22, 1952. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple. They were blessed with three daughters.

Betty worked for the telephone company, Christensen’s Department Store and then became a business owner. She owned Hansen’s Beauty Supply for over 30 years. She enjoyed the people she employed and they became family. The business gave her the greatest blessing of working with her daughters and granddaughters.

Her greatest passion was her family. Betty loved to spend time with her family and the 3rd of July was always spent doing fireworks at her house to celebrate her birthday. She always brought the family together for our annual Christmas party. She was truly the glue that held the family together.

Daughters: Rauna Lou (Lynn) Olcott, Shelly Dawn (Ken) Kirschner, Teri Ann Anderson. She has 7 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Survived by her husband, Ron; daughter, Shelly (Ken) Kirschner. Preceded in death by parents; daughters: Rauna (Lynn Calvin) Olcott; Terri Ann Anderson; in-laws: A.E. and Maneta Hansen.

Cremation services to be held. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
