Beth Claire Stanton Stewart, 87, passed away January 24, 2017 in Richfield, Utah. She was born April 26, 1929 in Heber City, Utah, to Claudius George and Hannah Rita Yeates Stanton. Beth married her sweetheart, "Denny" Denzil Sandberg Stewart, June 19, 1953 in the Logan LDS Temple. He preceded her in death July 7, 2008.
Beth spent her growing-up years in several locations, Heber City and Weber, Utah - Oneida and Grace, Idaho as the family moved with her father, Claudius’ career with Utah Power and Light Company. She attended Utah State University, Brigham Young University and graduated from Cosmetology School. Beth had a beautiful singing voice and shared that talent by singing in several groups and choirs. She also served as a full-time missionary in the New England States Mission from 1950 to 1952.
She was a faithful member of the LDS Church, serving in many different positions within the Relief Society, Primary, Sunday School, and Young Women organizations. She was blessed with a very giving and loving nature which she shared with her family and all those who were fortunate enough to know or be around her. Beth’s most endearing characteristic was her deep love and devotion to her husband and children.
Beth and Denzil were blessed with five children: Steven, Robert (Renae), Sharilee, Janilee (Larry) Pearson, and Daren (Grace). They have 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Denzil, she is also preceded in death by her parents; son, Steven; and siblings Lois, Nona Rae, and Kathleen.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Richfield 5th LDS 5th Ward Chapel, located at 800 North 500 East in Richfield. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary, 50 South 100 West, Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m., or at the ward chapel on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30. Graveside services will be held in the Logan City Cemetery in Logan, Utah on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m.
