Mary Beth Nay Worthen Hansen, 83, passed away January 18, 2016 in Richfield. She was born February 22, 1932 in Circleville to Albert C and Fern Rosella Gavin Nay. She married Cecil Don Worthen, August 13, 1949 in Nevada and had 5 children. Later divorced. She married Melvin J. Hansen, March 4, 1969 in Circleville. He preceded her in death January 26, 1997.
Beth was an active member of the LDS Church. She held many positions including Relief Society president and a Primary teacher. She especially loved her 10 years as a temple worker in Manti. She had a beauty salon in her home for many years. Later, she was very helpful in the fabric department at Sprouse Reitz and later at Marcia’s quilt shop. She had a great knowledge of quilting, which she learned from her dad. Many family members will treasure the quilt she made for them.
Beth’s smiling face brightened your day and her ever-ready laugh always cheered you up.
Beth is survived by her children: Marsha Worthen (Joanne Pettersson), SLC; Karma Jentzsch, St. George; David (Sandy) Worthen, Cecil "Mark" Worthen, Russell (Jackie) Worthen, all of Richfield; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Lesslie "Butch" Jentzsch; grandson, Robert Worthen; great-grandson, Kody West; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Central Valley 1 st Ward, 65 North Main. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the ward chapel in Central Valley.
