Bernard Youngkin
Austin, Utah
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend returned to his loving Father in Heaven on May 29, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family after recently being diagnosed with cancer. Bernard "Corky" Ronald Youngkin was born September 7, 1943, in Myrtle Point, Oregon, to Paul Charles Youngkin and Lorraine Isabel Edwards. He married the love of his life, Vivian Kay Brown, October 29, 1966, in Reno, Nevada. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti Utah Temple, June 19, 1973.
Corky joined the Army when he was just 17 years old. Afterward, he worked in civil service at the Tooele Army Depot. He and Vivian were ordinance workers in the Manti Temple. Some of his favorite activities included fishing, camping, four-wheeling, sitting on his porch looking at the mountains, visiting with family and friends and watching the Jazz and Cougars. He bled BYU true blue.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian; children, David (Lafonda, deceased) Maddox, Oklahoma; Vickie (David, deceased) Parker, Central Valley; Julie (John) Cope, Richfield; Connie (Keith) Hayes, Salina; Paul Youngkin, Austin; Dennis (Lisa) Youngkin, Richfield; 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; and sister, Juanita Lovett, California.
He is also preceded in death by his parents; and siblings: Paulette Runge, Bobbie Clifton, Sharon Decker and Nick Youngkin.
