Berl Hunt
Elsinore, Utah
Ven Berl Hunt passed away December 5, 2012. He was born September 26, 1925 to Charolett Elizabeth Tanner and Joseph Anthony Hunt in Sevier, Utah. Berl was the youngest and last surviving of eleven children. He spent his childhood years in Clear Creek Canyon on his family’s ranch and often spoke of these years fondly. Later he moved to Beaver, Utah where he graduated from high school. He married Juana Dean Julander October 2, 1947, in Fredonia, Arizona.
Berl made his career by truck driving starting with bread truck delivery and later working as a long line driver for IML. Berl loved being in the great out-of- doors:fishing, hunting, camping, road trips. One of his favorite adventures was a summer spent in Alaska fishing for salmon and halibut. Berl enjoyed people. He made friends everywhere he went and never met a stranger he wasn’t related to.
He was survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Juana; children: Berlene (Gregory) Ward , Barbara Lou Lehnhof, Jefferson, Bryan (Julie), Kenneth Berl (Cheyenne); eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He loved his family and his family loved him.
