Bea Reynolds
Cannonville, Utah
On April 3, 2015, in Panguitch, Bea Dutton Reynolds, 82, quietly moved forward in her eternal progression as she left mortality to be with her waiting husband, cherished parents, and other dearly loved individuals. During this tender moment Bea left behind her three sons and two cherished daughters.
Bea, also known as “Tiny”, was born in Cannonville, August 26, 1932 to Kendall and Beatrice Henderson Dutton. She joined her brother, Budd, in the Dutton family and was later followed by sisters: Evelyn, Nola, Karen, Merle; as well as brothers: Kendall, Karl, and Larry.
Bea married Lark Reynolds from Escalante, December 23, 1950 in Fredonia, Arizona. Just short of 14 years later Lark and Bea forever changed their family by being sealed in the Manti LDS Temple. Lark and Bea watched and experienced together the growth of their family: Wayne (Kathy) Reynolds, Nick (Jewell) Reynolds, Elaine (Kay, deceased) Shakespeare, Susan Reynolds, and Cliff (RoAnne) Reynolds, 24 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Except for short stays in Cedar City, Central Valley, and Kanab, Bea spent most of her life living in her beloved Cannonville. She loved this small community with its red rocks and white hills and now her mortal remains will be placed beside Lark, who preceded her on their united eternal journey on January 26, 2002.
Bea lived a quiet life, but it was a life working to bless her family and others, one full of love. She tenderly remembered playing with her cherished sisters and working in family responsibilities such as leading the family cow along the red dirt roads of Cannonville to the family home for milking. She was sad when that loved family cow was gone and somewhat saddened as those red dirt roads were paved. She found great delight when her kerosene lamp was replaced by a light bulb and later learned to enjoy telephones even though she struggled to keep her children from listening into conversations on the party lines.
Bea hated to personally drive a car, and rarely did, but she wept with excitement as sons, and grandchildren, stepped off airplanes while returning from locations throughout the world where they had been sharing the same gospel messages she loved in Cannonville.
Three years ago incapacitating physical trials forced Bea to leave Cannonville and spend them in the tender care of angels at the Panguitch Care Center. This time allowed her to continue to teach and share her life with her children. Though these years were hard, she discovered great blessings and when she slipped away, she left her family in peace.
