Barbara "Diane " Jensen Gordon, 75, of Marysvale, Utah passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on June 17, 2017 in Ft. Worth, Texas. She was born October 2, 1941 in Marysvale, to Delone and Estelle Taylor Jensen. She was born the same day and just hours apart from her first cousin Avonna, and always told everyone that they were twins just from different mothers. They remained life long friends.

Diane was brokenhearted when her dad was transferred "up north" when she was eight. She graduated from Springville High School in 1959 where she and her best friend Marilyn shared many fun times. She married Charles "Chuck" Gordon in 1960 and they had two children: Clinton D. and Cliff Lee, whom she loved dearly. They later moved to Texas where she met her forever friend Beth. Chuck and Diane were later divorced.

Diane also lived in Nevada next to her sister Pat and was thrilled that their kids got to spend time together. While in Nevada she for worked for Nevada Caster Company. She later moved "home" to Marysvale so she could be close to her parents. While there she worked for Six Counties and then the Leavitt Insurance Group where she made many friends.

Diane always loved animals, but cats were her favorite—she never met a cat she didn’t like. She was proud to be known as Marysvale’s Cat Lady.

A faithful member of the Marysvale Baptist Church where she went to worship her Father in Heaven, whom Diane loved with all her heart. Her pastor and friend, Jonathan Edwards counseled and comforted her through the hard times. She dearly loved her church friends, as well as the Kennedys, Sylvesters, and Johnsons she grew up with. Family was always important to Diane.

She is survived by her children: Clint Gordon, Cliff (Debbie) Gordon; grandsons: Eli (Amanda), Joshua, Daniel, Noah and Adam, all from Texas; siblings: Pat Sproul, St. George; Doug (Barbara) Jensen, Mapleton; many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She had a special bond with her nephew, Mike. She is also survived by her cat Shadrack whom she loved dearly.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Marysvale Baptist Church. A social will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a service to follow. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
