Barbara L. Anderson
Kingston, Utah
Our beloved Barbara Larsen Anderson, 76, of Kingston, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2015 in Panguitch. She was born in Richfield to Edna Spafford and Willis George Larsen on October 25, 1938, and was the second of three children. She married the love of her life, Austin Dee Anderson, on August 26, 1957 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple, and they have enjoyed many years together.
Barbara enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her sweetheart. Through a large part of his career in the United States Air Force, she was right by his side. According to Dee, she "didn’t mind the military life, but was always glad to come back home." San Antonio, Texas was her favorite temporary location, and she spoke fondly of her time there.
From a young age, Barbara was always a hard worker. She worked to help her family, and did all she could to be of service those around her. Being out and about was almost a necessity for her, and she always kept the flowers, yard, and garden in tip-top shape. In her later years in life, she worked very hard to take care of herself and her husband. Those who interacted with Barbara know she was still a very independent person right to the end.
She was a good-hearted, sweet individual who loved her God, her family, her mystery books, and life in general.
Barbara is survived by her husband Dee; sister, Colleen; and many other friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Janet Larsen.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2015 in the Richfield City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the graveside. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
