Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and devoted wife, Audrey Elaine Metheny Boore, 75, passed away on August 28, 2013. She was born May 30, 1938 in Minturn, Colorado to Roy Allen and Nellie Viola Metheny. Audrey married Alfred Earl Boore on May 28, 1956 in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. In March of 1965, they bought a farm and moved to Axtell, Utah. Together they had three children; Danny, Sandra and Nancy. Alfred passed away October 6, 1985.

As a young woman, Audrey worked as a telephone switchboard operator. She worked at Gunnison Valley Animal Clinic for 40 years in addition to being a full time farmer. She was also the Axtell community news writer for the Gunnison Valley News, Sanpete Messenger, and Gunnison Valley Gazette. She supported many organizations in the community including Boy Scouts, Willow Creek Grazers, 4-H, and Dance Works Studio. Alfred and Audrey were among several area couples that started the Sagebrush Swingers Square Dance Club.

Audrey was not only a hard worker, but was also never idle. She enjoyed traveling, taking pictures, crafting, quilting and scrapbooking. Her greatest influence was among her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom will dearly miss her. She never missed an opportunity to support and spend time with them.

She is survived by her sister, Carolyn Brock, Centerfield; children: Danny and Nancy Boore of Axtell; Sandra and Sam Brown of Price; and Nancy and Tadd McBride of Riverton 14 grandchildren and six great- grandchildren.

She is also preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 3 ^rd , at 11 am in the Axtell Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the ward chapel in Axtell Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday 9:390 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Centerfield Cemetery.
