Bill Vidrine

Audley Gayle "Bill" Vidrine, 85, our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully April 16, 2015 in St. George, Utah. He was born April 23, 1929 in Ville Platte, Louisiana to Martin Louis and Corinne Andrus Vidrine.
Bill served in the US Navy from November 12, 1946 - January 24, 1950. He married Clorene Alvey on November 11, 1951, later divorced. He lived in Escalante, Utah for most of his life where he was in the sawmill business. He was always willing to help others when he could. He loved the outdoors and especially loved being in the forests near Escalante. In recent years he loved coming back to Escalante and really enjoyed the 24 th of July celebration.
He is survived by daughter, Annette (Jerry) Muse, St. George; sons: Martin (Debbie) Vidrine, Salt Lake; and Gregory (Rachel) Vidrine, Morgan; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Clorene; son, William; grandson, Ryan; and sister Wynonah.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 24, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the Escalante 2nd Ward Chapel where friends may call on Friday from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Escalante Cemetery with military rites by the Escalante American Legion Post #0114.
