On August 26, 2015 after a long and brave battle with health problems, Arva Dawn Manwill Asay, 66, returned home to her Heavenly Father and her loved ones that have been waiting. She was born October 9, 1948 in Richfield to Burton C. and Velma Holt Manwill. She married Stanley G. Asay, October 10, 1964 in Richfield. The marriage was solemnized May 19, 1966 in the Los Angeles Temple. They later divorced.
Dawn loved being a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, crafts, sewing, and the outdoors. Later in life she enjoyed weekly game nights with her friends.
She is survived by children: Scott (Sona) Asay of Las Vegas, NV, Troy Asay of Monroe, Tanya (Elmer) Giles of Richfield, Sheli Dawn (Shane) Yergensen of Elsinore, Crista (Duane) Gerety of Las Vegas, NV, Tyler (Chandee) Asay of Monroe; 27 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Roberta (Bruce) Wursten of Mesquite, NV; sister-in-law, Glenna Manwill of Central Valley, UT.
She is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Shaleysa Tielle Asay siblings: Twila (Russell) Kunzler, Raeola (Garth) Cox, Niles Manwill.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Central Valley LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 or at the ward chapel in Central Valley on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Dawn’s name at Zions Bank.
