Arlo Henry Maag, 84, passed away September 19, 2023 at his home in Monroe.  He was born April 11, 1939 in Vineyard, Utah to Ted Forbes and Velva Romania Newell Maag.  He married Shirley Pope on February 14, 1976 in Provo. Their marriage was solemnized on June 19, 2010 in the Manti Temple. They were married for 47 years; you didn’t see one without the other.
Family was the most important part of Arlo’s life.  He was a special, loving man to everyone. He had great integrity and was a good role model. He loved riding horses and was a member of the Riverton Rough Riders riding club.  Hunting and fishing were a big part of his life. He enjoyed taking all of his children fishing.
As a mechanic, Arlo could fix anything.  He worked as a quality engineer for Litton Guidance Control Systems (now know as Northrup Grumman), retiring after 37 years.
Arlo is survived by his wife, Shirley; children: Evan (Brandi) Maag, Nadine (Darrell) Haglund, Arlyn (Dannie) Lloyd, Holly (Robert) Olson, Brian (Jeanette) Maag, Kent (Tania) Maag, Shelly (Dave) Roberts; 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Jeanette Bailey.
Preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren: Jaden, Abigail and Madison; brothers: Eugene (Shirley) Maag and Clyde Maag.
A special thanks to Tom and Alice Lee for their friendship over the years.
