Ardyth Ray "Gibby" Turner

August 9, 1933 — March 14, 2011

Ardyth Rae Gibson "Gibby" Turner, 77, joined her heavenly friends and family on March 14, 2011, due to complications of a heart attack and diabetes. She was born August 9, 1933, in Dragerton, Utah, to Raymond Hunter and Beatrice Tomlinson Gibson. She married Paul Eugene Turner on March 19, 1952 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

She is survived by her husband, Paul, Richfield; children, Brent (Carol), Payson; Steven (Frances), Richfield; Scott (Cyndee), Richfield; Mark (Leslie), Orem; Craig (Shelly), Salt Lake City; Paula, Richfield; Brad (Amber), Las Vegas, NV; Shanna (Keith), St. George; Kevin (Ericka), Logan; and brothers David (Lila), Boulder, CO; and Courtland (Kathy), Kanab; and 44 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Crawford; her mother, Beatrice; father, Raymond; and grandson, Kurtley.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. in the Richfield 2 nd Ward Chapel, 700 West 200 South. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield on Friday, from 6-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday morning at the ward chapel from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Richfield City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina, and Manti.

Keepsakes are available for friends/family at the house until the end of March.

She graduated from Carbon County High School and received a business certificate from Carbon College. She was always focused on family and genealogy work, as well as serving her Father in Heaven through music. She was a ward organist for many years, as well as Stake Music Coordinator, Ward Music Coordinator, and played piano and organ for many years for soloists, choirs of all types, and for civic groups (such as Field of Stars) and individuals. She was also a Cub Scout Den Mother and served with Paul in his scouting leadership duties for 15 years.
