Archie Max Simonsen, 53, of Manti passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013. Archie was born on September 24, 1960 to Iona Simonsen and the late Max Simonsen.

Archie worked for Manti City for nineteen years in the water and sewer department. Archie loved the mountains, hunting, and fishing. He loved his family, friends and his children. He had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren, he was known to them as their "Grumpy".

Archie is survived by his mother, Iona Simonsen; wife, Janice Simonsen and children; Michael and Miranda Simonsen; Danny, Ryan and Jalesa Sorensen; Crystal, Nicole and Destainy Lambertson. He is also survived by his sisters; Linda Sorensen, Karen (Brent) Hansen, Janice (Larry) Jensen, Connie (Troy) Miller and 18 ½ Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Bonnie Simonsen.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Manti Stake Center. Friends may call on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at the Church from 6-8:00 p.m. and prior to services on Monday from 9:00-10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Manti City Cemetery.
