Annabell Lucero Martinez, age 81, passed away in Richfield, Utah, peacefully on December 26, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 1, 1933 to Alex and Anita Lucero in Alamosa, Colorado. Annabell’s father, Alex later passed away and her mother married Tony Gallegos.

Annabell married Robert Martinez Jr. on February 23, 1949 in Taos, NM. She was a devout Catholic. She lived life to the fullest and loved everyone around her. She retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Co in 1993 and enjoyed her winters in Yuma, AZ. She served as president of the Ladies of Elks from 1984-1985.

Surviving her is her loving husband of 65 years, Robert, of Monroe; children: Barbara (Terry) Gardner, Monroe; Bobby (Sue) Martinez, Salt Lake City; Elaine Doerr, Salt Lake City; Pauline (Jaime) Martinez, Monroe; Anita (Fred) Gallegos, Cortez, CO; Gary (April) Martinez, Monroe; Tony (DeeAnn) Martinez, Grantsville; and Judy (Talley) Garcia, Salt Lake City; 25 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; sisters: Gladys Gober, Clearfield; Mary Ann (Chris) Naranjo, Grants Pass, OR; Louise (Abe) Maestas, Colorado Springs, CO; Tina Vigil, Capulin, CO; Valdamar Gallegos, Colorado Springs, CO; and Della Geiss, Willmington, IL.

Annabell is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Teresa Allred; brother, Alex Lucero and son-in-law, Wade Doerr.

Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary, 50 South 100 West, Richfield on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. A Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, 815 North SR 118, Central Valley, UT 84754, where friends may call on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery.
