Alma David Blake, 94, of Salina, passed away at his home on November 21, 2021. Alma was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on April 1, 1927 to Glen Thuesen and Elisabeth Schroepfer Blake. He married Norma Dean Winn on June 2, 1947 in the Manti Temple.
Alma grew up in Richfield with his two younger brothers, Glen John and Ralph Ernst, both deceased. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy toward the end of World War II. He worked as an electrician and an Electrical Engineer. The work he liked most was serving and helping others.
Alma was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He held many different callings in the Church and always tried his best to live close to his Heavenly Father and Savior.
His family was very important to him, especially his dear wife of 74 years, Norma Dean. His children are: Mary Lynn (Ronald) Bulkley, Judith Ann (Kevin) Washburn, David Wayne (Jerrae) Blake, Randall Jay (Jackie) Blake, and Carol Jo (Iley) Copeland. Alma was blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who looked up to their grandpa.
Private family funeral services will be held Friday, November 26, 2021 at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield. There will be no public visitation. Graveside services at the Richfield City Cemetery.
Family requires all attendees to wear a mask.
