Alice Catherine Dudley, 87, passed away December 27, 2014 at her home in Joseph surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 3, 1927 in Grand Junction, CO to James Clement and Eleanor Page Cheney. She married Hyrum T. Dudley, July 10, 1946 in Grand Junction, the marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple, January 30, 1953. He preceded her in death March 18, 2011.
Alice was an active member of the LDS Church. She felt she was lucky to be a "stay at home" mom, where she was able to spoil her kids with homemade bread, and sweet rolls right out of the oven as they got off the school bus. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma, always enjoying teaching her kids how to play cards.
Because her husband was a contractor, she traveled all over accompanying him on different job sites. One highlight trip was to Hawaii.
She is survived by her children: Carma (Dennis) Rosequist, Glenwood; Ellen (Skip) Thompson, Minersville; Ella (Randy) Christiansen, Fillmore and Steve S. Dudley, Joseph; daughter-in-law, Pat Dudley, Central Valley; 20 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, James, Donald and Dan Dudley; grandsons, Rustin Christiansen and Joshua Dudley.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in the Joseph LDS Ward Chapel, 50 North Center in Elsinore, Utah. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 or at the ward chapel in Elsinore on Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Joseph Cemetery. Funeral directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
