Adam McEwen

Panguitch, Utah

Adam Wyatt McEwen, 32, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Adam was born on May 9, 1984 in Choteau, Montana to loving parents, Steven Eugene and Leslie Diane Kirby McEwen.

Adam was raised and spent most of his life in Panguitch, Utah, with occasional periods in Salt Lake City where he worked in construction.

Adam loved family more than anything. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family camping and exploring back roads and mountain trails. He loved driving and traveling, and he loved the mountains and all the beauty they had to offer. Adam was an animal lover, and was especially fond of his brother’s five dogs.

Adam was blessed with many friends who, like his family, were privileged to get to know the "real" Adam: the quiet, introverted, yet very caring young man. His Grandma Betty always says, "Adam’s not only my grandson; he’s my friend." Adam thought and felt deeply about life and his loved ones and will be greatly missed by many.

Adam is survived by his father, Steven, Panguitch; brothers: Luke Matthew Kirby, Panguitch; and Brent Aaron McEwen, Sunset; grandmother, Betty Dickinson McEwen Brown, Panguitch; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Adam is preceded in death by his mother, Leslie; grandparents: Eugene J. McEwen, Beverly and Calvin Kirby.

Graveside services and interment will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Panguitch Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to attend. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
