Bob Tanner
Sevier, Utah
The Legend, Orin Robert “Bob” Tanner, left this world unexpectedly while at his home on December 4, 2021. Bob was born on July 17, 1958 in Salt Lake to John and Naomi Tanner.
Living his life to the fullest is an understatement. Until the end he continued doing what he loved even though it was against doctor’s orders.
Bob’s most cherished possession was his family. Everything he did was for his kids and grandkids. He made sure people knew they were his pride and joy!
Bob was authentic. He never hesitated to let you know what was on his mind. He’d let you do things how you want, but proceed to tell you you’re wrong and how to do it right. He was a genuine friend and brother to all. And, he was everyone’s Uncle Bob. He touched so many people’s lives with his tender heart and sense of humor, regardless of how crude. He could make anyone laugh.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and just being on the mountains, especially if his grandkids were with him! He believed that the rules didn’t apply to him and did whatever the hell he wanted. If you didn’t go for a life threatening ride in Bob’s truck all while chewing on a piece of candy or mint that he pulled from his shirt pocket, you didn’t know Bob. He truly was a legend and will be deeply missed.
Bob is survived by his parents, John and Naomi Tanner; children, Shanoa Gardiner, Cody (Katie) Tracy and Robbie Starr; grandchildren: Gabe Gardiner, Porter Gardiner, Bela Gardiner, Ellie Gardiner, Taylor Henry, Noah Henry, Bailee Christensen, Ila Mae Rowley, Tyson Christensen, Izaac Tracy, Tristen Tracy, Kelton Twitchel, Tagen Tracy, Bridger Starr and McKenza Starr; siblings: Reginald (Natalie) Tanner, Terry Peterson, Janet Christiansen, Danny (Lisa) Tanner, Wendy Tanner, and far too many nieces, nephews and friends to count.
Preceded in death by son, Baby Boy Tanner; brother, Jeffery Tanner; brothers-in-law, Cole Christiansen, Buzz Petersen; grandparents: Orin and Lila Tanner, Reginald and Rachel Dale.
