Nolan F. Torgerson, 89, passed away peacefully August 17, 2014 in Richfield, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 26, 1925 in Richfield to Orson and Ellen Holt Torgerson. He married his sweetheart, Denavor "Denny" Zufelt, January 26, 1944 while serving in the US Navy in San Diego, California. They were blessed with four children: Robert, Cathy, Jon and Jeff. Denny preceded him in death December 27, 2000.

Dad was a man of integrity and love. Dad’s favorite activities were spending time with his family and "Nolanizing" the world.

He is survived by his children: Robert (Janet), Cathy (Del), Jon (Mavis), Jeff (Nina); grandchildren: Nicole, Jenni, Matt, Kendra, Sheri, Mike, Jessica, Angela, Erica, Karessa, Marcia; sisters: June and Sharron. He is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren.

He is also preceded in death by his parents: grandchildren: Adam, Brian and Aleesha; brothers: Holt, Devon and Verdon.

The family extends their appreciation for the care and compassionate services provided by Stonehedge of Richfield, Wentworth Assisted Living Center of Draper, Lone Peak Hospital and the Richfield Rehabilitation and Care Center. We are also grateful for the love and support of all those who have touched Dad’s life.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, 50 South 100 West, Richfield with military rites provided by the V.F.W. Sevier Post #5050 and Utah Honor Guard. Honoring Dad’s wishes, there will be no viewing. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
