Gloria McEwen Hunt, 88, passed away in Richfield on December 13, 2021.  She was born April 18, 1933 in Panguitch to Eugene and Florence Judd McEwen.  She married Franklin Ashurst February 23, 1953 in Layton. Later divorced.  Married Udell Atwood on November 3, 1979 in the Manti Temple.  He preceded her in death on October 22, 2001.  Married Thomas Hunt in June of 2006 in Richfield, Utah. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2014.

A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Gloria served three temple mission. She was also humanitarian services director.  She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and also the Mayflower Descendants.  She taught community art classes.  She worked at Hill Air Force Base.

Gloria is survived by her children: Allen (Jill) Ashurst, Murray; Larry Ashurst, Richfield; Jennifer VandeMyle, Richfield; daughter-in-law, Jayne Ashurst, Richfield;20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Sheldon McEwen, Richfield.

Also preceded in death by parents; son, James; son-in-law, Jacob VandeMyle; siblings: Eugene McEwen, Marjorie Conder, Douglas McEwen, Stanley McEwen and Robert McEwen.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 17, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, where friends may call from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
