Creta Thalman Robinson, 92, the last surviving member of her family, passed away on November 9, 2020 in Richfield. Creta was born on June 21, 1928 in Vermillion to Albert Verg and Esther Jensen Thalman. She loved celebrating her birthday on the longest day of the year.

Creta grow up in the small farming town of Vermillion, Utah, and is a life-long resident of Sevier County. She has always loved the outdoors and would rather work with her papa thinning, hoeing and harvesting beets than doing housework with her mom and sister. She graduated from Richfield High School Class of 1946.

On January 5, 1948, Creta married her high-school sweetheart, Jack Dean Robinson, in the Manti Temple. They chose to make Richfield, Utah, their home. Jack’s sense of humor and ability to tell stories and Creta’s big smile and open arms delighted family members and friends for 60 years. After, Jack’s death on March 13 2008, Creta continued her loving service and kindness for as long as her health allowed. She enjoyed waterskiing until the age of 80 and golfed until her health would no longer permit it. Creta’s greatest love after her family was Major League baseball and the Yankees. Creta had a strong devotion to her savior, and always lived her life in honor of him.

Creta is survived by her 4 children: Linda Browne (Robert), Kerry Robinson, Janet (Dave Hess), and Jay (Louise) Robinson; 22 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Lael Thalman, Eugenia Robinson, Leona Larsen.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, Jack; parents; and siblings: Vergia Scott, Mel Thalman, Mack Thalman and Elsie Thalman; daughter-in-law, Julie Carlisle Robinson, and grandson, Samuel Kerry Robinson.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday November 16, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Magleby Mortuary, where friends may call Sunday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. There will not be a public viewing the day of the service.
